Dr. Kumudini Chauhan

Dr. Kumudini Chauhan is one of Lucknow's most experienced fertility specialists, with more than 20 years in obstetrics, gynaecology, and assisted reproductive technology. She completed her MBBS from RG Kar Medical College, Kolkata, followed by her MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from the same institution in 2011 and her DNB from the Diplomate of National Board, New Delhi in 2012. She later earned her Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS), bringing advanced laparoscopic skills to her fertility practice.

Before founding Ganga Laxmi IVF, Dr. Chauhan trained and practised at two of India's most respected institutions. She served as a Consultant at the Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute in Kolkata, where she deepened her expertise in gynaecological oncology and cancer screening. She then moved to New Delhi, working at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital — widely regarded as one of the finest tertiary care hospitals in India — where she refined her approach to complex infertility cases, high-risk pregnancies, and minimally invasive surgery.

In 2014, Dr. Chauhan returned to Lucknow and founded Ganga Laxmi IVF in Gomtinagar. Her goal was clear: to offer the kind of advanced, compassionate fertility care that families across Uttar Pradesh deserved, without having to travel to Delhi or Mumbai. Since then, she has personally guided over 15,000 IVF cycles and helped more than 6,000 families welcome a baby.

What sets Dr. Chauhan apart from most IVF doctors in Lucknow is the continuity of care she provides. Unlike large chain clinics where patients often see a different doctor at every visit, Dr. Chauhan personally oversees each patient's journey from the first consultation through to the pregnancy test. Every stimulation protocol, every monitoring scan, every embryo transfer decision is guided by the same experienced pair of hands.

Her particular strengths lie in managing difficult cases: women with poor ovarian reserve or low AMH, couples who have experienced recurrent IVF failure, patients with severe endometriosis or tubal blockage, and women navigating high-risk pregnancies complicated by diabetes, hypertension, or advanced maternal age. For male-factor infertility, she works closely with the clinic's embryology team to optimise ICSI outcomes even in cases of very low or surgically retrieved sperm.
